A student athlete’s life isn’t much different from someone who doesn’t play a sport. Although it can be tough at times, it can also be rewarding. Playing a sport can build strong friendships and important life skills such as responsibility and accountability.
During the school week, in the morning, athletes get up and go to school just like everyone else. However, after school gets out, athletes usually have to get straight to practice and are there until around 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm almost every day. When practice concludes, The athletes go home to eat, shower, and do their homework. So a student-athlete doesn’t live a much different life other than having to fit in all the work that you have into a smaller time frame.
Being an athlete has many advantages like building your character and friendships, however, there is a challenge that comes along with being a student-athlete.
