Key Club started at Lake Fenton High School around the year 2007. Since then, there have been many members who have served the community as well as the school, making Lake Fenton a better place. This school year seniors Logan Shanafelt (President), Celeste Groth (VP), Sofia Maldonado (Treasurer), and Elizabeth Pethick (Secretary) are in charge of Key Club. The meetings are held in Mrs. Cleis’s room before and after school every other Wednesday.
So what exactly does Key Club do? Some service events that have been done in the past include: clothing/bottle drives, Faith in Femininity, Lunch with Santa, etc. There are no requirements to join Key Club, just the desire to serve the community! You are required to pay a $20 fee that will go toward senior medallions and Kiwanis International. Also, members have to get at least 6 hours of service every semester, totaling 12 hours by the end of the year. If you are interested, talk to one of the representatives or Mrs. Cleis.
